Radically hospitable.
Guided by story.
Alive with possibility.
Mission:
At First UMC Gallup, we believe God’s story is still being written — in this place, among these people. We open our doors and our lives to all who long to belong. Together, we love boldly, welcome radically, and live into the stories that make us whole.
Vision:
To be a table wide enough for every story, a people grounded in grace and moved by justice, and a church that lives like it believes love can heal the world.
Weekly Schedule:
Sunday Mornin’s:
Coffee & Conversation
around 11am
Worship Service
around 11:30am
While our music can be described as traditional, our services are anything but. Sure, we love our hymns and a fairly standard order of worship, but from the pastor to the people in the pews, you won't find the rigid formality of traditional worship. We're an eclectic group of folks from every walk of life, doing our best to love God, our neighbors, and ourselves better than we did last week. Come worship with us!
Thursday Evenin’s:
Bible Study
around 6pm
On Thursday nights, a handful of us gather around a table with snacks for a real, unhurried dive into the Bible. The conversations get rich, sometimes lively, and there's no pressure to agree with the group or the pastor. We believe Scripture is best understood when we take seriously the people who wrote it, the communities who first received it, and the long tradition that has carried it to us.
